This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Create highly scalable and efficient applications utilizing Java and related technologies.
• Design and develop cloud-based solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate services using Kubernetes on GCP (GKE) and/or Azure (AKS).
• Implement event handling through Pub/Sub using GCP Pub/Sub and Kafka.
• Construct composable architectures employing domain modeling, services, micro-services, service mesh, and circuit-breaker patterns.
• Develop micro-frontends utilizing Webpack5 with module federation.
• Engage with SQL and NoSQL cloud database technologies.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines incorporating quality gates and automated testing tools.
• Establish observability and insights with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or comparable tools.
• Maintain documentation as code through Backstage.io, GitHub repositories, and README files.
• Convert business objectives into technology solutions.
• Identify, resolve, and appropriately escalate potential issues.
• Impact technical project outcomes and lead the resolution of technical issues within the domain.
• Operate independently with a significant degree of autonomy.
• Influence decisions that affect solution design, development, and service provision.
• Collaborate in a matrix-managed environment with mixed teams, contractors, and outsourced vendors.
• At least 10+ years’ experience in developing highly scalable and efficient applications using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency with the Google Cloud Platform stack or equivalent experience with AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, including GKE and/or AKS.
• Experience with GCP Pub/Sub and Kafka.
• Understanding of domain modeling, services, micro-services, Istio service mesh, and circuit-breaker patterns.
• Experience working with Webpack5 and module federation.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation, Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and quality/testing tools.
• Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Backstage.io, GitHub repositories, and README documentation.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, coding standards, and source control techniques.
• Strong skills in test script writing and documentation.
• Experience across multiple service delivery functions: development, support, software design, or environment configuration.
• Broad knowledge of various technologies or deep expertise in a specific technology.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Adaptable attitude and capability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to translate business goals into technological solutions.
• Experience in a matrix-managed environment working with contractors and outsourced vendors.
• Logical approach to software solutions and problem-solving.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving issues with appropriate escalation.
