Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable, highly available, and high-performance Java backend services.

• Take ownership of backend architecture while optimizing for scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Engage in requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Construct secure, resilient, and maintainable distributed systems capable of handling high-concurrency workloads.

• Develop and enhance APIs, database models, and system integrations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality solutions.

• Perform code reviews, contribute to technical standards, and promote engineering best practices.

• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and identify performance bottlenecks and system risks.

• Lead or contribute to the development of AI engineering capabilities, tools, and infrastructure.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and share technical insights with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of backend development experience with a strong command of Java.

• Proficient understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean coding principles, and software engineering best practices.

• Practical experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, MyBatis, or MyBatis-Plus.

• Extensive experience in designing distributed systems focused on scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and high availability.

• Familiarity with MySQL or PostgreSQL and Redis.

• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or RocketMQ.

• Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of RESTful API design and backend security best practices.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing methodologies.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

• Basic proficiency in English reading and writing.
