Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain large-scale, highly available, real-time Java applications.

• Develop efficient concurrent and asynchronous processing solutions.

• Analyze and address performance, scalability, and reliability issues.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested production code.

• Participate in technical decision-making, engineering standards, and best practices in development.

• Work alongside engineers, product specialists, and analytics teams on key initiatives.

• Identify technical deficiencies and operational challenges, proposing strong solutions.

• Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Take responsibility for delivered solutions throughout the entire development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.

• Practical experience in building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.

• Strong proficiency in Java 11 or later.

• Solid hands-on knowledge of Java concurrency and multithreading.

• Familiarity with asynchronous programming in Java, including CompletableFuture.

• Good grasp of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.

• Basic knowledge of high-load system design and scalability methods.

• Fundamental practical experience with Kafka.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level or above, facilitating effective communication in an international team.

• Nice-to-have: experience with distributed caching.

• Nice-to-have: experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Nice-to-have: experience with Big Data technologies.

• Nice-to-have: previous work experience in adtech, streaming, media, fintech, or other high-throughput sectors.
