Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop software components based on design specifications

• Conduct system integration and testing procedures

• Diagnose and resolve issues effectively

• Execute unit tests for software components

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery

• Actively collaborate with team members and communicate with project stakeholders

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization

• Assist in optimizing CI/CD processes

• Design and maintain tailored software solutions for a significant European public-sector technology services client

• Contribute to a tax administration system that includes tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integration with external systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development

• Proficient in Spring Framework and Quarkus

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS

• Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems, including Kafka and ActiveMQ

• Solid understanding of testing principles

• Capable of communicating effectively in English

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and remote teams

• Preferred: experience in Angular front-end development

• Preferred: proficiency in German or Swiss German
