Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop software components based on detailed design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing activities.

• Diagnose and address issues effectively.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and delivery schedules.

• Collaborate actively with team members and liaise with project stakeholders.

• Offer technical insights to assist in shaping product roadmaps.

• Take part in incident triage, analysis, and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Design and sustain customized software solutions for a major European public-sector technology service provider.

• Contribute to a tax administration system that encompasses tax declaration processing, calculations, assessments, and integration with external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Proficient with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS).

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging technologies (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Capability to communicate fluently in English.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is advantageous.
