Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector technology service provider.

• Execute software components in accordance with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing procedures.

• Identify and resolve issues effectively.

• Carry out unit testing of software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery.

• Collaborate actively with team members and communicate with project stakeholders.

• Provide technical insights for product roadmaps.

• Participate in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Support and enhance CI/CD processes.

• Contribute to the development of a tax administration system that encompasses tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

• Collaborate as part of a project team consisting of over 20 individuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Experience in REST/SOAP integrations and messaging, including Kafka and ActiveMQ.

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is advantageous.
