Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in accordance with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing procedures.

• Identify and resolve issues as they arise.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery.

• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.

• Provide technical contributions to product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Assist in optimizing CI/CD processes.

• Create and maintain tailored software solutions for a significant public-sector technology provider in Europe.

• Contribute to a tax administration system encompassing tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS).

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate proficiently in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is advantageous.
