Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain tailored software solutions for a prominent European public-sector technology service provider.

• Develop software components in accordance with design specifications.

• Execute system integration and testing processes.

• Identify and rectify issues effectively.

• Conduct unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines.

• Foster proactive collaboration with team members and communicate with project stakeholders.

• Contribute technical insights to product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Work on a tax administration system that encompasses tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integration with various external systems.

• Collaborate as part of a project team consisting of over 20 individuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems, including Kafka and ActiveMQ.

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Strong ability to communicate confidently in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is advantageous.

• No specific educational credentials are required.
