Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector technology service provider.

• Execute software components in alignment with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing activities.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Carry out unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and delivery schedules.

• Collaborate actively with team members and communicate with project stakeholders.

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps.

• Take part in incident triage, analysis, and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Contribute to the development of a tax administration system that handles tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

• Collaborate within a project team of over 20 individuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework.

• Strong proficiency with Quarkus.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS).

• Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Proficient communication skills in English.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience with Angular front-end development (preferred).

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German (preferred).
