Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in accordance with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing procedures.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in project effort estimation and timeline planning.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure streamlined and predictable project execution.

• Offer technical insights to inform product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Design and sustain customized software solutions for a significant European public-sector technology client.

• Contribute to a tax administration system that encompasses the complete lifecycle of tax declaration processing, tax calculations, and assessments.

• Collaborate on integrations with various external systems within a project team of over 20 members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Experience in REST/SOAP integrations and messaging technologies, including Kafka and ActiveMQ.

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and remote teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is advantageous.
