Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop software components based on design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing activities.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery.

• Collaborate actively with team members and communicate with project stakeholders.

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Assist in enhancing and supporting CI/CD processes.

• Design and maintain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector technology services client.

• Contribute to a tax administration system that includes processing tax declarations, performing tax calculations, conducting assessments, and integrating with various external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Proficient in Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations and messaging technologies, including Kafka and ActiveMQ.

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Capacity to communicate effectively in English.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development (preferred).

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German language skills (preferred).
