Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in accordance with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing activities.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues to resolve problems effectively.

• Execute unit testing for software components.

• Engage in estimating project efforts and timelines for delivery.

• Collaborate actively with team members and communicate with project stakeholders.

• Provide technical insights to influence product roadmaps.

• Take part in incident analysis and prioritization tasks.

• Assist in optimizing and supporting CI/CD processes.

• Create and maintain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector software provider.

• Contribute to a tax administration system, which includes tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS).

• Experience in REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Solid understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience with Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is a plus.
