Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain tailored software solutions for a major technology service provider in the European public sector.

• Develop software components in alignment with design specifications.

• Carry out system integration and testing activities.

• Diagnose and resolve issues effectively.

• Conduct unit testing for software components.

• Engage in project effort estimation and timeline delivery.

• Collaborate actively with team members and maintain communication with project stakeholders.

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Enhance and support CI/CD processes.

• Contribute to a tax administration system that encompasses tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

• Collaborate within a project team consisting of over 20 members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework.

• Significant experience with Quarkus.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Strong understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and remote teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is desirable.
