Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in alignment with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and testing activities.

• Identify and resolve issues effectively.

• Execute unit testing for various software components.

• Engage in estimating project effort and delivery schedules.

• Collaborate actively with team members and liaise with project stakeholders.

• Contribute technical insights to product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Assist in enhancing and supporting CI/CD processes.

• Create and maintain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector technology service provider.

• Work on a tax administration system that includes tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Proficient in Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS).

• Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations and messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

• Strong understanding of testing principles.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is considered a plus.
