Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop software components in line with design specifications.

• Conduct system integration and perform testing procedures.

• Identify and resolve issues effectively.

• Execute unit tests on software components.

• Engage in project effort estimation and delivery timeline planning.

• Work collaboratively with team members and maintain communication with project stakeholders.

• Offer technical insights for product roadmaps.

• Take part in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.

• Assist in enhancing and supporting CI/CD processes.

• Design and sustain tailored software solutions for a prominent European public-sector software provider.

• Contribute to a tax administration system that handles tax declaration processing, calculations, assessments, and integrations with various external systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Java development.

• Extensive experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Experience in REST/SOAP integrations and messaging frameworks, including Kafka and ActiveMQ.

• Solid understanding of testing methodologies.

• Capable of confident communication in English.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and remote teams.

• Experience in Angular front-end development is a plus.

• Proficiency in German or Swiss German is an advantage.
