Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, test, improve, and sustain applications utilizing Java and Spring/Spring Boot

• Build scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices

• Convert technical and business requirements into effective software solutions

• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code

• Engage in architecture and technical design discussions

• Create unit tests and integration tests

• Diagnose defects, production incidents, performance issues, and integration challenges

• Participate in code review processes

• Assist with CI/CD, deployment, release, and production support tasks

• Contribute to initiatives for application modernization, cloud integration, and reducing technical debt

• Keep technical documentation up to date

• Collaborate with teams in Architecture, QA, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and with business and product stakeholders

• Aid in the development and modernization of enterprise applications on an international scale

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development with Java

• Proficiency with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks

• Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational database systems

• Familiarity with Git, Maven, and/or Gradle

• Experience in unit and integration testing

• Skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and providing production support

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Experience with enterprise applications and mission-critical systems

• Advanced English proficiency for effective communication in a global context

• Preferred: experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure

• Preferred: knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes technologies

• Preferred: experience with Kafka messaging

• Preferred: understanding of DevSecOps and observability practices

• Preferred: background in application modernization efforts

• Preferred: experience in Financial Services, Banking, Wealth/Asset Management, Capital Markets, Insurance, or other regulated sectors

• Preferred: certifications related to Java, cloud technologies, or Agile methodologies
