Senior IT Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and administer security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and EDR to detect and respond to threats in real-time.

• Investigate and analyze security incidents, performing incident response and forensic analysis when required.

• Configure, optimize, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and enterprise antivirus solutions.

• Carry out vulnerability assessments and assist with patch management and security updates.

• Create and implement incident response playbooks and automate security processes.

• Work collaboratively with IT and DevOps teams to embed security practices within development pipelines and infrastructure.

• Facilitate cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees.

• Ensure adherence to standards and regulations such as LGPD, GDPR, ISO 27001, and others.

• Generate security reports and metrics for leadership, including suggestions for ongoing improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity.

• Proficient in log analysis, threat detection, and cyber incident response.

• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.

• Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a knack for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English for technical reading and writing; conversational English is advantageous.

• Scripting skills in languages such as Python or PowerShell for automating security tasks.

• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud) and cloud-native architecture security.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps and security integration in CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with Threat Intelligence and malware analysis.

• Participation in CTFs or cybersecurity competitions.

• Preferred certifications include CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or equivalent.
