This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee client environments and assess security alerts.
• Evaluate security alerts, events, and emerging trends.
• Perform independent investigations, including those with complex or high-severity findings, through resolution and escalation.
• Implement containment and response measures such as host isolation, process termination, and blocking indicators.
• Record tickets with evidence trails, investigative insights, and rationale for dispositions.
• Utilize SIEM, MDR, mXDR, and operational incident response tools.
• Detect security vulnerabilities and propose mitigations in client settings.
• Liaise with internal support teams and clients.
• Engage in scheduled security operations meetings with clients.
• Produce reports in accordance with nuHarbor standards and timelines.
• Create, execute, and enhance documentation.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements.
• Highlight noisy, low-fidelity, or faulty detections for further evaluation.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Alternatively, two (2) years of experience in a related technology field along with relevant industry certifications are necessary.
• At least two (2) years of experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, CrowdStrike Falcon, and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Capability to articulate basic hardening techniques for network and process detections.
• Knowledge of common endpoint security best practices.
• Proven understanding of incident response concepts and procedures.
• Advanced comprehension of security technologies that help mitigate cyber risks, and the ability to convey that knowledge.
• Familiarity with common network services and the threats posed to them.
• Prior experience in a technical support or security-oriented role.
• Availability and willingness to work Sunday - Thursday from 12:00am - 10:30am ET.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
