This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, respond to, and evaluate SIEM alerts generated by monitoring tools.
• Offer technical guidance and recommendations to clients to strengthen their security posture within managed services.
• Manage daily incidents; monitor, track, analyze, and document them.
• Collaborate with vendors, external consultants, and other parties to enhance information security.
• Address security-related tickets escalated by clients and work together to resolve security incidents.
• Partner with IT professionals to remediate vulnerabilities such as spam, viruses, spyware, and malware.
• Keep track of security vulnerability information from vendors and external sources.
• Generate weekly and monthly status reports, encompassing daily technical task reports and contract deliverables.
• Administer and uphold application, web, and infrastructure security protocols.
• Align business and IT security goals with key client stakeholders.
• Deliver security analytics and support for security-related requests.
• Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication abilities, particularly in simplifying complex information.
• CISSP, CISA, or GIAC certification is advantageous.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience in managing organizational compliance with PCI, HIPAA, or SSAE16 is preferred.
• Proficient in three or more of the following areas: application/stateful/UTM firewalls; SIEM; DLP; web content filtering; web application firewalls (WAF); vulnerability scanning and penetration testing; IPS/IDS; Security Operations Center functions; wireless networking; UNIX, AIX & Solaris, Linux, Windows Server operating systems; endpoint security and malware.
• Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, DIACAP standards.
• Knowledge of Windows Server platforms 2003-2012.
• Experience with VMware and virtual machine server platforms.
• Understanding of UNIX server environments.
• Competent in analyzing IIS, SQL, firewall, IPS/IDS, Windows, web, and email logged events.
• Ability to analyze IANA-assigned ports.
• Capability to troubleshoot common network devices, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows Event IDs.
• Strong ability to engage with all levels of management.
• Decision-making capability based on multiple factors.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects concurrently.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, telecommunications management, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced network and systems certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, and CISSP are preferred.
• Additional industry certifications like ITIL, Microsoft, Juniper, and Checkpoint are a bonus.
