Senior Analyst, Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Quality Assurance process for internal cybersecurity tools and platforms, such as SIEM, vulnerability management, GRC/compliance systems, and identity and access management.

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression suites.

• Conduct manual functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Identify, document, and manage defects until resolution.

• Develop testing strategies based on risk, aligned with business and security impact.

• Validate data integrity, access controls, and business logic throughout system changes, upgrades, and migrations.

• Evaluate control weaknesses, suggest improvements, and assist with deficiency reporting.

• Establish and report QA metrics, such as defect density, escape rate, and test coverage, to leadership.

• Document business processes using flowcharts and detailed process narratives.

• Collect, document, and verify business requirements from Information Security and internal stakeholders.

• Convert business and security needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather requirements.

• Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams.

• Plan and monitor timelines, milestones, and dependencies for security system initiatives.

• Coordinate UAT cycles, prepare release readiness checklists, and oversee go-live activities.

• Communicate updates, risks, and obstacles to stakeholders.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, compliance standards, and relevant technical and business issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• 5–7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, or a related technical field.

• Proficient in QA methodologies, testing tools, and defect tracking/test management platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and TestRail.

• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting purposes.

• Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Background in coordinating small to mid-size projects, including UAT cycles and release readiness.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, along with time management skills and the capacity to prioritize deliverables.

• Cybersecurity experience is advantageous, including familiarity with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, GRC/compliance platforms, access control, audit logging, secure SDLC, or compliance-driven environments.

• Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST standards is a plus.

• Regular interaction with internal senior leaders and cross-functional teams is required.

• Must be a resident and authorized to work in the United States.
