This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee, respond to, and evaluate SIEM alerts generated from monitoring tools.
• Offer technical advice and recommendations to clients aimed at improving their overall security framework within managed products.
• Manage daily incidents by monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and documenting them.
• Collaborate with vendors, external consultants, and other parties to enhance information security.
• Address security-related tickets escalated by clients and work together to resolve security events.
• Partner with IT professionals to address vulnerabilities such as spam, viruses, spyware, and malware.
• Keep track of security vulnerability information from vendors and third-party sources.
• Generate weekly and monthly status reports, including daily technical task summaries and contract deliverables.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor within an active Center of Excellence.
• Provide proactive support to mitigate or prevent security issues on client networks.
• Administer and uphold application, web, and infrastructure security protocols.
• Collaborate with key client contacts to synchronize business and IT security objectives.
• Deliver security analytics and assist with security-related support inquiries.
• Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex information clearly.
• CISSP, CISA, or GIAC certification is advantageous.
• At least 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience in managing PCI, HIPAA, or SSAE16 certification for an organization is preferred.
• Ability to analyze and resolve intricate technical and business challenges.
• Proficient in three or more of the following technologies: Application/stateful/UTM firewalls; SIEM; DLP; Web content filtering; Web application firewalls (WAF); Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing; IPS/IDS; Security Operations Center operations; Wireless Networking; UNIX, AIX & Solaris, Linux, Windows Server Operating Systems; Endpoint and Malware.
• Familiar with NIST, FISMA, and DIACAP standards.
• Knowledgeable about Windows 2003-2012 server platforms.
• Experienced with VMware and VM server platforms.
• Knowledgeable in UNIX server platforms.
• Practical experience in analyzing IIS, SQL, firewall, IPS/IDS, Windows, web, and mail logged events.
• Ability to analyze IANA assigned ports (well-known, registered, dynamic, and private ports).
• Capable of troubleshooting common network devices, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows Event IDs.
• Able to interact with all levels of management effectively.
• Competent in making decisions based on multiple variables.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in computer science, telecommunications management, electrical engineering, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced network and systems certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, and CISSP are preferred.
• Additional industry certifications, including ITIL, Microsoft, Juniper, and Checkpoint, are a plus.
