Senior IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee IT projects that carry a high to critical level of risk and require regulatory oversight.

• Indirectly supervise and/or manage IT Analysts on project-related tasks.

• Engage in the development, maintenance, and revision of IT Project Management standards and procedures.

• Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ascertain, document, and allocate resources effectively.

• Direct projects utilizing stringent project management standards such as PMBOK and industry benchmarks.

• Create necessary project documentation in accordance with IT Project Management standards and procedures.

• Guide and influence cross-functional project teams in managing issues and risks.

• Oversee IT technology initiatives from conception through to implementation.

• Manage several medium- to long-term projects with minimal supervision.

• Supervise daily project activities.

• Utilize traditional waterfall, agile, Scaled Agile, or hybrid project management methodologies.

• Identify and coordinate the mitigation of project risks.

• Identify and facilitate the resolution of project issues.

• Manage and escalate program issues to the IT PMO Manager, Director of IT PMO, and IT Leadership as necessary.

• Develop and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to IT Program Managers, IT Project Managers, and IT Leadership.

• Monitor and communicate project status to IT Program Managers, IT PMO Manager, IT Leadership, and Bank Leadership.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of ten years of demonstrated experience as a Project Manager is required.

• Strong grasp of project management best practices, methodologies, and lifecycle.

• Practical knowledge of waterfall and agile project management tools.

• Capability to professionally manage oneself and indirectly mentor junior IT PMO resources.

• A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and effectively analyze, summarize, and communicate both verbally and in writing.

• Proven organizational skills are essential.

• Experience in data management, data mapping, data modeling, and governance.

• Strong understanding of risk management and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in Information Technology, including a medium to high-level familiarity with IT terminology, operations, and functions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across boundaries with key stakeholders and leadership.

• Confidence and professionalism in challenging opinions.

• Collaborative approach with the ability to rapidly build trust and credibility.

• Ability to function effectively in a matrix organization/environment.

• Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Excel, and Word.

• PMP, CSM, and/or SAFe certifications are highly desirable.
