Technical Project Manager – Digital Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct technical projects associated with digital identity.

• Ensure project delivery aligns with scope, timelines, quality standards, and governance requirements.

• Convert business, policy, and regulatory needs into technical objectives and project outputs.

• Collaborate with technical teams, EU stakeholders, external vendors, and partners throughout the project lifecycle.

• Play a role in the design, execution, and enhancement of digital identity solutions.

• Evaluate technical specifications and implementation suggestions.

• Question design and implementation decisions while identifying risks and dependencies.

• Track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes effectively.

• Raise issues with legal, policy, security, or cross-border implications when necessary.

• Assist in formal EU governance processes, which include project documentation, steering committees, reviews of deliverables, and acceptance procedures.

• Convey complex technical and regulatory subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Travel to Luxembourg on a monthly basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• At least 8 years of professional experience in technical project management, digital identity, or a closely related technical area.

• Practical technical experience in digital identity, IAM, PKI, trust services, digital/verifiable credentials, or cybersecurity infrastructure.

• Familiarity with secure data exchange, e-government, or other regulated IT environments.

• Understanding of the EU digital identity framework, including eIDAS and the EU Digital Identity Wallet.

• Knowledge of Verifiable Credentials, OpenID4VC/VP, electronic attestations of attributes, and trust models is a plus.

• Professional experience in EU or national policy-making and governance processes.

• Capability to bridge technical and policy viewpoints, covering regulatory, data protection, security, procurement, and cross-border implications.

• Professional certification in Project Management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

• Exceptional command of English, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in French is an advantage.

• CV must be submitted in English.
