Project Manager – Software Deployment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Report to the Regional Services Manager.

• Oversee the implementation of intricate public safety solutions including Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile Computing, Records Management, and Jail Management.

• Spearhead and manage deployments for public safety jurisdictions at the statewide, regional, county, and city levels.

• Lead and guide project teams across different organizational boundaries.

• Manage and mentor team members across various disciplines throughout all phases of the project.

• Foster strategic relationships between internal teams and external partners.

• Address and resolve issues arising between internal and external groups.

• Oversee project profitability, budgets, and timelines.

• Develop and maintain communication, risk management, mitigation, and quality plans.

• Approve invoices as necessary.

• Provide quotations and statements of work for system integration.

• Create, distribute, and present updates regarding project status and outcomes.

• Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices in collaboration with the Project Management Office.

• Engage in pre-contract evaluations of terms and scope, deliver oral presentations, and participate in customer negotiations.

• Travel approximately 25–50% within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of project management experience, or 5+ years of experience managing complex deployments and/or software application implementations.

• Proven experience in managing complex deployments and/or software application integrations, including coordination with third-party products and services.

• Knowledge of project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies.

• Preferred experience in managing projects for State and Local government agencies within the public safety sector.

• PMP Certification is preferred.

• Must be able to obtain background clearance as mandated by government clients.

• Must successfully pass a rigorous fingerprint background check in accordance with the CJIS Security Policy.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available.

• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

• Experience in leading and directing professionals across various organizational and functional boundaries.

• Willingness to travel 25–50% throughout the Northeast U.S.

• Capability to apply critical thinking skills and make informed decisions.

• Self-motivated team player who can work effectively with general guidance and take the initiative.
