Senior IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, strategize, and implement cross-functional business, technology, and process enhancement projects from start to finish.

• Create and uphold detailed project plans, roadmaps, timelines, charters, scopes, management strategies, statements of work, cost estimates, and schedules.

• Ensure timely project delivery while adhering to scope and budget constraints.

• Oversee project scope, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and obstacles; escalate issues as necessary.

• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among teams.

• Align project goals with organizational objectives alongside business leaders, technology teams, and process owners.

• Facilitate discussions at the executive level and provide decision support backed by data.

• Manage third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers, including oversight of contractual obligations and SLAs.

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level project managers.

• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops focused on project management practices and trends.

• Utilize Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Identify opportunities for business process optimization, operational improvements, and automation.

• Implement project governance frameworks in accordance with organizational standards and SOX controls.

• Lead change management initiatives for the adoption of new processes and technologies.

• Develop and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.

• Define and monitor KPIs to assess project success and business impact.

• Deliver clear and concise status updates to C-suite executives and senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of project management experience overseeing large, intricate, cross-functional technology initiatives.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• PMP® (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

• Employer sponsorship is not currently available nor will it be in the future.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies.

• Experience in managing software development and implementation projects utilizing Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Smartsheet.

• Experience with Agile planning tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or Target Process.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365/Microsoft Office, including SharePoint/Teams, Excel, Word, and Visio.

• Strong skills in issue, risk, dependency, and stakeholder management.

• Ability to navigate complex, cross-functional environments and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

• Capability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.

• Prior roles as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Software Developer are advantageous.

• Preferred background in launching and delivering Payroll products or solutions.
