Senior IT Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Supervise a variety of system projects and/or programs that are highly complex in nature.

• Assemble and guide project teams.

• Determine necessary resources for projects.

• Create schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.

• Manage partnerships with stakeholders.

• Address and mitigate project risks.

• Coordinate team activities in alignment with system scope, project objectives, and team roles.

• Oversee the interdependencies and integration of related projects while managing programs.

• Establish strategies and lead program execution to deliver long-term business value.

• Utilize SDLC and ITIL frameworks to manage technology project risks and issues.

• Influence the strategic direction of the department.

• Make decisions regarding technical approaches for project components.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5 or more years of technical experience.

• Proven experience in technical product selection, design, and the practical implementation of IT solutions.

• A strong desire to contribute to an organization focused on continuously enhancing consumer experiences.

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferred.

• Experience in data warehouse, decision support, and reporting system environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with Oracle and IBM Relational Database Management Systems, executive information systems, and statistical software packages is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities, including Cobol, CICS, DB2, ASP, COM, .Net, and SQL is preferred.

• Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification is preferred.

• Experience in the health solutions industry is preferred.

• Minimum home internet download speed of 25 Mbps.

• Minimum home internet upload speed of 10 Mbps.

• Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
