This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee and assist in moderate to complex projects that define business capabilities while analyzing issues or opportunities.
• Assess business technology requests and spearhead analysis to outline scope, sizing, and implementation requirements.
• Develop systems scope and objectives through research, fact-finding, and a thorough understanding of business solutions and requirements.
• Act as a liaison among stakeholders to gather, organize, evaluate, and confirm workflow and information-system change needs.
• Manage moderately to complex projects, creating process maps, value-chain maps, conceptual design specifications, and use-case artifacts.
• Generate business capability views, capability heatmaps, value-stream analyses, high-level business context diagrams, and information-mapping documents.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and pinpoint opportunities to enhance processes and foster continuous improvement.
• Cultivate and develop business relationships that support program success.
• Identify alternative strategies to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Create communications and presentations related to business systems, processes, and analysis.
• Collaborate with business leaders, IT leaders, architects, analysts, product owners/managers, and implementation teams.
• Guide scoping, estimation, and solutioning for new systems or business solutions.
• Ensure that technology architecture is aligned with business objectives and manage project scope.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 7 years of demonstrated business experience in roles such as business architect, consultant, or similar positions.
• Familiarity with the Insurance domain.
• Strong practical knowledge of IT systems and their corresponding business applications.
• Understanding of organizational functions, customers, and their processes.
• Capability to collaborate effectively as part of a project team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of IT business systems and related applications.
• Ability to conduct independent research on project and technology-related matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Skilled in building consensus across teams and functions.
• Familiarity with business capability models, operating models, and analytical tools and techniques.
• Competence in balancing competing priorities and managing sensitive topics and team dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and other business-related software.
• Preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern US time zone, or those willing to work during Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
