Application Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold application architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps throughout the bank’s application portfolio.

• Spearhead solution architecture for the Commercial banking platform, encompassing Fiserv core banking, Abrigo loan origination, MANTL deposit origination, Q2 digital banking, Snowflake DLH, and Salesforce.

• Provide support for smaller platforms related to credit cards, home loans, and GGL loan processing.

• Create secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that align with business, operational, compliance, and risk requirements.

• Advise on Azure cloud architecture decisions regarding identity, security, monitoring, integration, resilience, and cost-effective design.

• Produce architecture diagrams, integration flows, technical designs, and solution recommendations.

• Assess vendor platforms, technical proposals, and third-party solutions for architectural compatibility and long-term sustainability.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, information security, risk, compliance, and vendors throughout the planning, delivery, and implementation phases.

• Advocate for reusable patterns, meticulous change management, reduction of technical debt, and robust documentation practices.

• Facilitate Agile delivery practices, documentation repositories, release management, monitoring, alerting, and production support processes.

• Ensure secure, reliable, auditable, and compliant technology solutions, which include vendor risk management, change management, access governance, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Seven or more years of experience in application architecture, solution architecture, enterprise applications, or systems integration.

• Three or more years of experience within the banking, financial services, or fintech sector.

• Proven experience in designing integrations across vendor platforms, core systems, digital banking, data platforms, and cloud services.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure architecture, including secure design, identity management, monitoring, resilience, networking, and cost-effective cloud strategies.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to convey technical concepts to business, executive, compliance, and technical audiences.

• Experience with Fiserv core banking, Abrigo, MANTL, mortgage, credit card, Salesforce, digital banking, or payments platforms.

• Knowledge of API-led connectivity, cloud-native design, DevSecOps, CI/CD practices, or architecture frameworks.

• Possession of an architecture certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent experience.
