Senior IT Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Collect, analyze, and comprehend business requirements and system design.

• Drive process enhancement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma and similar methodologies along with analytics.

• Engage with business users and IT personnel to review processes and requests.

• Create intricate, detailed requirements and process flow diagrams for applications, systems, and upgrades.

• Develop and propose solutions and alternatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and automation.

• Mentor and coach less experienced Business Analysts.

• Act as a bridge between business and IT teams during the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements.

• Identify the needs for business and systems processes and procedures.

• Lead requirements-gathering sessions and related activities.

• Analyze and assess business needs and requests to establish process, system, and service requirements.

• Document and revise business and functional requirements/specifications.

• Perform feasibility and economic analysis for automation or process improvement proposals.

• Establish success metrics to evaluate proposed solutions.

• Create test plans and scripts for user acceptance testing.

• Support the development of PMO processes and protocols for Business Analyst activities.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Business Process Improvement, Informatics, or Engineering is required.

• A minimum of five (5) years of Business Analysis or Project Management experience is required.

• Preferred: Five (5) years or more of experience in Systems Development and Project Management.

• Proficiency in advanced business analysis techniques is required.

• Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Ryder's business practices and processes.

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to comprehend communicated information and ideas effectively.

• Capacity to create and deliver impactful presentations.

• Skill in articulating information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner.

• Ability to cultivate and sustain professional relationships across the organization.

• Competence in facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
