Senior IT Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to and help shape the architectural solutions across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers within a Microsoft-centric ecosystem.

• Design systems that are scalable, secure, and resilient, utilizing layered, domain-driven, event-driven, and service-oriented architectures.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards for security, performance, observability, and overall compliance.

• Assess and recommend technologies, frameworks, and patterns that promote long-term sustainability.

• Serve as a senior technical authority and make informed technical decisions for supported teams.

• Design, create, review, and optimize production-grade code.

• Develop solutions employing C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and related frameworks.

• Conduct technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Design and implement solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Architect and develop APIs and system integrations utilizing REST, messaging, and event-based patterns.

• Support data architecture and persistence strategies leveraging SQL Server.

• Assist in modernizing legacy systems and in efforts for cloud-native or hybrid architectures.

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Manage assigned technical tasks within project plans effectively.

• Offer technical guidance to developers without formal management responsibilities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, design decisions, and operational guidance.

• Communicate design tradeoffs and impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in software engineering, system design, and application architecture.

• Extensive expertise in C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, service-based architectures, SQL Server, and relational data modeling.

• Proven track record as both an architect and a hands-on senior developer on large, complex systems.

• Strong background in designing and supporting enterprise-scale, mission-critical applications.

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with integrating external and internal systems through APIs and messaging.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex technical issues under delivery pressure.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and performance optimization.

• Demonstrated capacity to influence technical direction and uphold engineering quality through sound technical judgment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in modernizing or integrating with legacy platforms is preferred.

• Experience with data conversion or large-scale system migrations is preferred.

• Previous work in highly regulated or data-intensive enterprise environments is preferred.
