This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Lead and cultivate a multi-tiered organization of architecture leaders and senior architects throughout CBS
• Establish standards for technical excellence, customer impact, pace, accountability, and executive presence
• Attract, nurture, retain, and develop architectural talent along with succession opportunities
• Create architectural viewpoints encompassing AI, data, security, governance, integration, platform strategy, emerging technologies, and digital experiences
• Convert technical advancements into frameworks, reference architectures, patterns, and recommendations
• Act as a trusted architecture executive for key strategic customers
• Facilitate discussions with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, and other technology leaders
• Lead and engage in customer on-site visits, SICs, workshops, and conferences
• Ensure architecture teams articulate business outcomes, use cases, target architecture, data, integrations, guardrails, dependencies, and production pathways
• Collaborate with Builder leadership to synchronize architecture and implementation efforts
• Identify and address architectural obstacles
• Partner with Sales, Solutions, Builders, Success, Product, Engineering, and specialized organizations
• Transform field insights into executive narratives, perspectives, reusable assets, and scalable enablement
• Relay customer signals, architectural trends, risks, priorities, and opportunities to senior leadership
• Demonstrated experience in leading leaders and senior technical talent through periods of change
• Profound understanding of enterprise architecture and contemporary technology landscapes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, data, AI, integration, identity, security, governance, APIs, and modern application and experience architectures
• Exceptional capability to convey complex technical subjects to senior customers and internal executives
• Ability to relate technical decisions to business value, risk, speed, adoption, and long-term platform strategy
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive perspective on technology and customer requirements
• Capacity to operate with urgency and make headway in uncertain situations
• Outstanding collaboration and organizational influence across various boundaries
• Ability to manage a complex portfolio upwards and communicate effectively with senior leaders
