Architectural, Technical Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Advocate for IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products within the Design Community, Contracting Community, and relevant Distributors.

• Address technical inquiries from both internal and external customers concerning commercial roofing and building envelope issues.

• Analyze job specifications and proactively collaborate with design professionals to ensure IKO is included in the project manuals.

• Coordinate with commercial contractors and distributors to confirm the inclusion of IKO products in upcoming projects.

• Identify, evaluate, generate demand, and pursue opportunities at assigned and potential new accounts.

• Facilitate product knowledge training sessions, including lunch & learns.

• Cultivate and manage personal relationships with key product specifiers, consumers, and decision-makers within the designated market.

• Carry out site visits, implement quality control initiatives, and provide written reports as necessary.

• Attend and engage in relevant association events to showcase IKO Commercial products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a related role and/or experience in technical sales.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

• Experience in roofing and building envelopes is advantageous.

• A college or university degree is preferred.

• A degree in Roofing, Construction Technology, or Construction is a plus.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Capability to climb ladders.

• Proficient in managing multiple tasks independently.
