Principal Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the discovery, analysis, architecture, design, proposal creation, and scope-of-work development in presales.

• Convert customer needs into outcome-driven solutions through direct engagement with clients.

• Propel Digital Services sales alongside sales and technical architecture teams to achieve revenue targets.

• Advocate for services related to application modernization, application development, SDLC, AI, and data estate/platform modernization.

• Investigate industry trends and facilitate customer workshops.

• Document the current state and develop actionable transformation roadmaps and unique digital solutions.

• Guide technical opportunities and solution strategies to secure technical victories.

• Identify key stakeholders and align solutions with their success metrics.

• Coordinate Presidio's technical resources and engage with client Managers, VPs, and Directors.

• Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with delivery engineering on quality assurance, risk management, and formal scopes of work.

• Evaluate client requirements and define target services, solutions, and roadmaps.

• Prepare and present technical proposals, drawings, diagrams, and analyses.

• Lead the curation of technical knowledge, presentations, and discussions with clients.

• Engage in technical champion programs, community involvement, certifications, and discussions on emerging technologies.

• Assist with account planning, executive briefing centers, and client social events.

• Foster vendor partner relationships and implement hyperscaler cloud go-to-market strategies.

• Create Retail or Manufacturing perspectives, reusable frameworks, accelerators, account strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.

• Mentor and support sales and presales team members; share methodologies, content, and lessons learned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including military service.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in the Retail or Manufacturing industry is highly prioritized.

• At least 7 years of experience in architecture, design, implementation, and/or consulting related to digital and/or cloud technologies.

• Over 5 years of specific domain expertise in application modernization, application development, SDLC, AI, GenAI, and/or data estate modernization and modern data platforms.

• More than 5 years of hands-on experience with at least one hyperscaler cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficiency in leading presentations, solution demonstrations, and whiteboard sessions at the Manager/Director level.

• Capability for consultative presales and managing ambiguous early-stage client discussions.

• A growth mindset with a willingness to explore new ideas and seek mentorship and coaching.

• A collaborative approach and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

• Expert time management skills and the ability to set expectations effectively.

• Ability to provide prompt feedback to leadership.

• Preferred: Experience in Retail or Manufacturing digital transformation across ecommerce, omnichannel customer experience, merchandising, store operations, supply chain, inventory and order management, loyalty, and customer analytics.

• Preferred: Integration experience with POS, OMS, ecommerce, ERP, CRM/CDP, and modern cloud data and AI platforms.

• Preferred: Additional hands-on knowledge in a second hyperscaler platform.

• Preferred: AWS Solution Architecture-level certifications.

• Preferred: Familiarity with modern application architectures such as microservices and event-driven architectures.

• Preferred: Background in software engineering or code development.

• Preferred: Experience with AI solutions and deployments, including LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks, and AI workflow tools.

• Preferred: Experience in reviewing or drafting SOWs.

• Preferred: Experience with RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solutions.

• Preferred: Experience with CIO/CTO and board-level presentations, executive briefing centers, and business-case narratives.

• Preferred: Knowledge of cross-cloud/multi-cloud reference architectures and migration frameworks spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP.
