This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Manage the processing and administration of assigned payrolls.
• Lead ad hoc payroll and benefits initiatives for international entities.
• Provide support for international payroll processing across multiple countries following training.
• Track local international payroll trends, including housing allowances, income tax withholding calculations, and payroll inquiries.
• Work collaboratively with payroll vendors to ensure that pay-impacting transactions are accurately collected, processed, and reported in a timely manner.
• Assist the Accounting team with payroll journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Foster stakeholder relationships and offer support and insights.
• Act as a point of contact for payroll inquiries from employees in Colombia, Brazil, and other designated payrolls.
• Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes.
• Provide an excellent employee experience concerning payroll onboarding, ad hoc inquiries, and annual tax reporting.
• Adhere to legal and internal deadlines.
• Implement employment tax requirements related to compensation and benefits, including equity.
• Supervise tax reviewers, payroll auditors, and payroll-related inquiries.
• Address parafiscales and social benefits questions from local jurisdictions.
• Manage annual income tax filings where applicable.
• Refine payroll-related documentation and procedures.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in managing payroll processing on an international scale, with a background in accounting.
• Proficient in processing equity transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong discipline with the capability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize competing tasks.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities while maintaining a focus on customer experience.
• Familiarity with Workday and external payroll providers.
• Customer service-oriented with sound judgment to manage highly sensitive information.
• A mindset geared toward process improvement.
• Keen interest in leveraging emerging technologies such as AI to enhance payroll workflows.
• Comprehensive understanding of EMEA labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory filings.
• Knowledge of European Works Councils and trade union agreements.
• Proven experience in maintaining rigorous internal controls and auditing payroll processes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for complex data reconciliation and reporting.
