This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Gather, calculate, and enter payroll information into the ADP payroll system.
• Collaborate with medical directors, managers, and physicians to collect payroll data.
• Work alongside Recruiting, HR, and Benefits departments to ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Verify time records and process checks or electronic transfers.
• Calculate and issue quarterly incentive bonuses.
• Validate payroll data and reconcile Payroll Preview report entries.
• Meet wage garnishment requirements and maintain withholding documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
• Reconcile payroll items and assist with financial inquiries at the site level.
• Support monthly reconciliations and annual audits of payroll-related accounts.
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports for CEP leadership and MA management.
• Monitor and respond to inquiries through the ticketing system and department phone calls.
• Assist Site Medical Directors with calculations for bonuses and surpluses.
• Aid in audits of internal records, workers' compensation, tax filings, and related documents.
• Participate in updates and testing of Payroll and HRIS systems.
• Support IS&T in the implementation and upgrades of third-party payroll systems.
• Maintain accurate payroll databases, change records, and transaction logs.
• Oversee and review online scheduling information.
• Conduct written and verbal employment verifications.
• Provide payroll history data and records to employees upon request.
• Offer suggestions and feedback to enhance the efficiency of the Payroll/Finance department.
• 2-3 years of experience in payroll or accounting is required.
• Fundamental understanding of Payroll and Accounting principles.
• Familiarity with specific policies, standards, procedures, and practices relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of mathematical principles.
• Proficient PC skills, including a strong command of Microsoft Office and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Capability to demonstrate effective customer service techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to exhibit data collection, assimilation, and reconciliation skills.
• Capacity to multitask and perform well under pressure.
