This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Act as the infrastructure lead and take ownership of significant decisions regarding cloud architecture, platform strategy, deployment pipelines, and the implementation of infrastructure-as-code.
• Design, create, and sustain scalable AWS infrastructure that supports the expanding platform.
• Develop internal tools, automate processes, and build backend services to enhance developer productivity and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate directly with engineering and data teams to address current requirements and facilitate future growth.
• Set and promote best practices for infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship to engineers throughout the organization on cloud architecture, observability, and operational excellence.
• Over 5 years of technical experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE positions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, VPC, and IAM.
• Proficient coding skills in Python, Javascript/Typescript, or comparable languages.
• Experience in developing internal tools, automation scripts, and infrastructure services.
• Proven track record in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, logging, and incident response methodologies.
• Demonstrated success in leading infrastructure projects and making essential architectural decisions.
• Previous experience at a rapidly growing company.
• Strong judgment with the ability to balance cost, performance, security, and speed.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
