Senior Golang Software Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain versioned REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal server lifecycle management, MachineType specifications, and cluster CRUD functions.

• Design asynchronous workflows for server enrollment, inspection, operating system provisioning, and cluster initiation.

• Provide durable status updates to callers for extended provisioning tasks.

• Implement and oversee dashboards and interfaces for visualizing hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health.

• Formulate error-handling strategies, idempotency assurances, and reconciliation loops to ensure dependable infrastructure provisioning.

• Manage the lifecycle of infrastructure-level services from Server and MachineType APIs through provisioning workflows and reconciliation processes.

• Develop the control plane that translates high-level API requests into infrastructure operations for GPU-as-a-Service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services.

• Knowledge of API versioning and gateway design patterns.

• Expertise in Go (preferred for backend and Kubernetes environments).

• Profound understanding of Kubernetes primitives along with controller and reconciler patterns.

• Familiarity with k0rdent, Metal3, and Cluster API.

• Practical experience with bare-metal provisioning processes, including BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, and hardware inspection.

• Experience in developing workflow-driven or event-driven systems, such as Temporal.

• Background in creating informers or reconciliation bridges that synchronize external datastores with the state of Kubernetes resources.

• Experience in building multi-tenant platforms with stringent data and network isolation.

• Knowledge of Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven configuration utilizing ArgoCD or Flux.

• Familiarity with GPU server hardware, DPUs/NICs, and high-performance data center fabrics.
