This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Design and construct secure, scalable AWS cloud landing zones
• Spearhead the design and execution of workload migration strategies
• Configure and manage hybrid infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance
• Transition Hyper-V virtual machines to AWS EC2 or container services
• Assess the migration of legacy workflows to AWS cloud-first technologies
• Establish standards for Infrastructure as Code deployments
• Design and implement segmentation of cardholder data environments across hybrid zones
• Apply encryption for data at rest and in transit across AWS and on-premises environments
• Align AWS IAM and Windows Active Directory policies with PCI access control standards
• Maintain ongoing logging, monitoring, and audit trails for compliance validation
• Collaborate with the On-Prem Engineer on system upkeep and local migrations
• Develop secure, low-latency network tunnels between local sites and AWS
• Co-create business continuity plans utilizing Veeam and cloud-native backup solutions
• Oversee and optimize hybrid environments for uptime and performance
• Enhance cloud expenditure and resource sizing during the migration process
• Support the decommissioning of local hardware as workloads transition
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure
• 3+ years of experience leading AWS cloud migration projects
• Proven track record in building or maintaining PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant infrastructure
• Successful experience leading technical projects within a team environment
• Extensive knowledge of AWS EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Route 53
• Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and IAM policies for PCI compliance
• Knowledge of AWS serverless architectures, containers, or native analytics
• Experience with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or similar solutions
• Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Python/PowerShell scripting
• Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server administration and hosting concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Hyper-V and Failover Clustering
• Experience with PureStorage FlashArray and Veeam Backup & Replication
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Security - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
