Senior Industrial Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Guide the organization in conceptualizing, developing, and executing innovative strategies to address challenges and enhance healthcare systems.

• Employ industrial and systems engineering, financial analysis, statistics, project management, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

• Implement continuous improvement principles and tools to minimize waste, enhance cycle times, decrease rework, and elevate patient experience.

• Act as project manager and technical advisor for cost-saving initiatives and process enhancement efforts.

• Deliver advanced statistical and financial analysis support to senior management and project teams.

• Create, suggest, and enact analytical solutions that aid organizational decision-making.

• Advocate for core departmental services, such as labor productivity, external benchmarking, and labor ratio objectives.

• Evaluate current processes, analyze relevant data, identify opportunities for improvement, eliminate waste, and formulate action plans.

• Spearhead department-level improvement initiatives and network projects.

• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to accomplish network goals and strategic objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 5 years of relevant experience in operations improvement, conducting complex analytical studies, and project management.

• Mastery of continuous improvement tools, such as process mapping, process observation, root cause analysis (FMEA), value stream mapping, Pareto and statistical charts, and 5 Whys.

• Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Access, and Visio.

• Familiarity with at least one computer simulation software: SIMUL8, Arena, FlexSim, or Promodel.

• Experience with at least one statistical analysis software: Minitab or SAS.

• Capability to identify key business challenges and develop analyses and action plans to enhance operational efficiency.

• Basic understanding of financial analytics and the ability to compute cost savings.

• Proficient in project management principles.

• Master’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Information & Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• ICGB Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred or required upon hire.

• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.

• Frequent sitting/standing and keyboard usage.
