Senior Industrial Automation Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and manage relationships with automation vendors, including those specializing in conveyor systems, AMR/AGV technology, robotics, and software solutions.

• Design automation solutions that align with the operational and financial goals of customers.

• Carry out customer site evaluations and discovery sessions alongside the sales team.

• Provide mentorship to engineering and sales teams on automation technologies, design principles, and industry best practices.

• Assist with system layouts, engineering schematics, proposals, and solution presentations.

• Supervise engineering processes, approvals, and order fulfillment for automation projects.

• Work closely with Project Managers to define milestones, sequencing, and ensure successful project execution.

• Aid in the commissioning and startup activities of systems.

• Engage in final project reviews and client acceptance processes.

• Establish long-term customer relationships while delivering expert technical knowledge and service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• More than 7 years of experience in designing and implementing material handling or warehouse automation solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of conveyor systems, AGVs, AMRs, robotics, and warehouse automation technologies.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, operational, and CAD drawings.

• Experience in developing technical solutions for warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing settings.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and project management capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
