NetSuite SCM Engineer – Inventory, WMS & Fulfillment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Perform technical development tasks within the SCM domain, adhering to best practices in configuration, scripting, testing, and cross-platform integrations.

• Configure and enhance NetSuite WMS for workflows related to picking, packing, shipping, wave planning, and serial or lot tracking.

• Oversee and refine NetSuite inventory processes, including Item Receipts, Item Fulfillment, and Landed Costs.

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between NetSuite, Oracle Transportation Management, and Arena PLM.

• Assist with Anaplan data connectors for synchronizing demand planning and forecasting.

• Utilize SuiteFlow and SuiteScript 2.0/2.1 to automate transitions of inventory states, fulfillment flows, and routing of receipts.

• Aid in maintaining role-based access controls, data security policies, inventory reconciliation controls, and SOX-compliant configurations.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Product Managers, Data Platforms, Sourcing, and corporate logistics teams.

• Adhere to coding standards and enhance maintainability, reliability, and performance.

• Engage in code reviews, onboarding, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

• Assess NetSuite bi-annual releases and assist with impact analyses, regression validation, and optimization efforts.

• Contribute to NetSuite SDF and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.

• Participate in the on-call rotation, troubleshoot incidents and outages, conduct root cause analyses, escalate incidents, restore services, and document recurring issues.

• Offer occasional support after hours, on weekends, and during holidays while on call.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in ERP or application engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience in developing and configuring solutions within intricate supply chain and inventory environments.

• Solid technical and functional knowledge of NetSuite Inventory, NetSuite WMS, Oracle OTM, Anaplan, and Arena PLM.

• Practical experience in configuring NetSuite WMS workflows, location setups, and custom scripts for serial-controlled and lot-controlled inventory processes.

• Experience in building and supporting data pipelines connecting PLM systems like Arena to ERP systems such as NetSuite for BOM and related supply chain data flows.

• Extensive knowledge of the SuiteCloud customization platform, including SuiteScript 2.0/2.1, SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk SOAP and REST APIs, and SuiteBundler.

• Practical experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.

• Familiarity with middleware solutions like Celigo, Boomi, or Workato.

• Strong understanding of SQL for data management and reporting.

• Knowledge of Git-based version control systems and SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).

• Comfortable with SOX, GDPR, and inventory audit controls.

• Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation, including occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage.

• Preferred: NetSuite Certified SuiteCloud Developer, NetSuite Certified Administrator, and NetSuite Certified SuiteFoundation.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in an ERP environment.

• Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, SOAP, REST, XML, HTML, and JSON.

• Skilled in standard SDLC procedures and change-management environments.

• Must reside in and work remotely from Portugal.

• Proficiency in the English language.
