Senior Identity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical aspects of product health evaluations and platform architecture assessments, focusing on configuration, code quality, performance, and coverage.

• Provide hands-on contributions to future architecture designs and tool assessments.

• Convert assessment results into well-defined, sequenced engineering plans.

• Take full ownership of a client program workstream, overseeing scope, quality, and delivery.

• Design and develop customized SailPoint IIQ and/or ISC solutions, which include connectors, workflows, rules, transforms, and provisioning policies.

• Independently create localized process components.

• Oversee App Factory delivery, establish onboarding patterns, create reusable templates and automation, and implement connectors.

• Integrate enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Entra ID, HR platforms, ServiceNow, cloud solutions, and custom applications via web services, JDBC, or other connectors.

• Evaluate engineers’ application designs and connector implementations; manage code reviews, testing strategies, and maintainability.

• Guide junior engineers through pairing, reviews, and direct feedback.

• Oversee and enhance access certification initiatives, reporting, and program analytics.

• Propel configuration, tuning, and automation enhancements.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer so client teams can take greater ownership of their platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud, including at least two complete implementation or significant upgrade cycles.

• Over 6 years of overall experience in identity and access management or enterprise software engineering.

• Proficient in Java and BeanShell for IIQ, as well as transforms, cloud rules, and REST API development for ISC.

• Familiar with SQL, XML, and at least one additional scripting language.

• Extensive working knowledge of identity governance, including joiner-mover-leaver processes, role and attribute-based access, certifications, segregation of duties, and provisioning.

• Proven capability to take ownership of a workstream and make design decisions within it.

• Aptitude for direct interaction with client stakeholders, articulating technical decisions in straightforward language, and managing expectations in a dynamic environment.

• Evidence of personal projects or self-directed learning outside of work, such as side projects, home labs, or recent educational endeavors.

• Must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work within the United States.
