Senior Implementation Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement and configure Edifecs applications for payer systems on AWS, Azure cloud, or virtual machines.

• Manage and implement integrations between Edifecs products and customer on-premise systems.

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical configurations, workflows, and mapping documents.

• Develop and test both real-time and batch integrations utilizing EDI, FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, RESTful APIs, SOAP Web Services, ESBs, and iPaaS platforms.

• Create mapping specifications and execute data validation, reconciliation, and error resolution.

• Support ETL processes and facilitate legacy data migration to new payer systems.

• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and loading activities.

• Assist QA teams by providing technical test cases and validating configurations and interfaces during SIT/UAT.

• Collaborate with business analysts, SMEs, solution architects, and delivery leads on technical deliverables.

• Develop training and development plans while configuring software according to project timelines.

• Offer post-implementation support during the transition to maintenance.

• Deliver client-specific software training and create training documentation.

• Engage in design workshops, integration sessions, and planning for go-live readiness.

• Provide technical guidance to junior implementation staff and contribute to solution documentation.

• Coordinate and maintain communication with clients throughout the implementation process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technology field, or equivalent experience in implementing and operating Java stack-based enterprise applications.

• Over 5 years of experience in technical healthcare system implementation, ideally with a payer or health plan.

• More than 3 years of experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping and analysis.

• Comprehensive understanding of X12 standards, FHIR, and standards-based healthcare interoperability/integration patterns.

• Practical experience analyzing transactions and developing interfaces for X12 837, 835, 834, and proprietary formats.

• In-depth knowledge of coding standards including LOINC, SNOMED, and ICD 10.

• Familiarity with JSON, XML, HL7v2 messages, X12, and flat files (CSV, pipe-delimited, etc.).

• Strong expertise in Edifecs Applications.

• Proficient in data modeling and relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.

• Experience in implementing solutions on AWS and Azure with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

• Background working in Agile or SAFe environments.

• Working knowledge of Java and both SOAP- and REST-based web services.

• Proficient in troubleshooting performance issues related to disk, database, network, messaging, and platform/third-party solutions.

• Experience troubleshooting Java applications using tools like jstack, VisualVM, jconsole, and jmap.

• Expertise in healthcare data domains including member, claims, provider, enrollment, and clinical data.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage confidential information, handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Flexibility to collaborate with global teams and geographically dispersed teams based in the US.

• Must be equipped to provide a dedicated, secure work area along with high-speed internet access/connectivity, and handle office setup and maintenance.
