This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a comprehensive HSEQ strategy across all EPC/EPCM projects.

• Provide expert advice to Project Directors and leadership teams on HSEQ issues.

• Facilitate the implementation of Ramboll’s HSEQ program and convert expectations into specific project-level controls and leadership practices.

• Offer HSEQ guidance during proposal development and contract discussions.

• Design adaptable HSEQ organizational structures, including roles, responsibilities, interfaces, and governance frameworks.

• Create standardized HSEQ execution plans across various phases such as engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.

• Set expectations for construction readiness, which includes contractor mobilization, competency verification, risk assessments, and field controls.

• Ensure alignment of HSEQ standards and performance metrics across contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party entities.

• Manage contractor onboarding processes, alignment sessions, audits, and performance evaluations.

• Integrate HSEQ requirements into contracting strategies, procurement packages, bid documents, mobilization plans, and contractor management protocols.

• Provide governance and assurance regarding hazard identification, construction risk evaluations, high-risk work assessments, and site controls.

• Evaluate controls for high-risk tasks, including lifting, electrical operations, confined spaces, work at heights, ground disturbances, energization, commissioning, and simultaneous operations.

• Offer oversight and escalation support for incidents with high potential or severity.

• Conduct site inspections, leadership meetings, and assurance evaluations.

• Mentor project and contractor leadership teams to enhance safety leadership and leading indicators.

• Foster a culture of communication, psychological safety, learning, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, client demands, and Ramboll standards.

• Represent Ramboll during client audits, regulatory inspections, and governance discussions.

• Develop HSEQ performance reporting utilizing both leading and lagging indicators.

• Transform performance data into actionable insights, strategies, and recommendations for stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of progressively responsible on-site HSEQ leadership experience with significant exposure to large-scale EPC/EPCM projects.

• Robust background in supporting multi-contractor, high-risk industrial construction settings.

• Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.

• Experience in construction management delivery models where HSEQ performance is achieved through contractor execution and effective client/contractor interface management.

• Familiarity with construction-phase HSEQ controls, contractor oversight, incident investigation, assurance, and regulatory compliance.

• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Preferred professional certifications include CSP, CMIOSH, NEBOSH, CRSP, or equivalent.

• Preferred experience in energy transition, power, renewables, industrial decarbonization, chemicals, manufacturing, mining, or large infrastructure projects.

• Preferred experience in supporting owner's EPC/EPCM models across multiple concurrent projects.

• Preferred experience with international or remote projects.

• Must currently possess authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
