This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee a comprehensive HSEQ strategy across EPC/EPCM projects.

• Act as the primary HSEQ consultant for Project Directors and EPC/EPCM leadership teams.

• Foster the implementation of Ramboll’s HSEQ program and translate expectations into project-specific controls and leadership practices.

• Provide HSEQ support during proposal development and contract discussions.

• Define clear HSEQ boundaries, roles, and interfaces among Ramboll, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Develop scalable HSEQ organizational structures for nationwide multi-project delivery.

• Create standardized HSEQ execution plans across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project turnover.

• Establish expectations for construction readiness regarding contractor mobilization, competency assurance, risk assessments, and field controls.

• Align HSEQ expectations among contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and third parties.

• Facilitate contractor onboarding, alignment meetings, audits, and performance evaluations.

• Integrate HSEQ requirements into contracting strategies, procurement documents, bidding materials, mobilization plans, and contractor management processes.

• Provide governance and assurance over hazard identification, construction risk assessments, high-risk work evaluations, and site controls.

• Evaluate controls for lifting, electrical tasks, confined space entry, working at heights, ground disturbances, energization, commissioning, and simultaneous operations.

• Assist with incident oversight, escalation, investigations, and capturing lessons learned.

• Conduct site visits, leadership interactions, and assurance assessments.

• Mentor project and contractor leadership teams, promoting proactive safety practices.

• Encourage open communication, psychological safety, learning, and ongoing improvement.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, client requirements, and Ramboll HSEQ standards.

• Represent Ramboll during client audits, regulatory inspections, and governance meetings.

• Establish HSEQ performance metrics using both leading and lagging indicators.

• Transform performance data into actionable insights, recommendations, and plans for stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of progressive on-site HSEQ leadership experience.

• Significant exposure to large-scale EPC/EPCM projects.

• Experience in multi-contractor, high-risk industrial construction settings.

• Capacity to influence without direct authority.

• Experience aiding construction management delivery models through contractor execution and client/contractor interface management.

• Working knowledge of HSEQ controls during the construction phase, contractor management, incident investigation, assurance, and adherence to regulations.

• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Preferred: CSP, CMIOSH, NEBOSH, CRSP, or equivalent certifications.

• Preferred: experience in energy transition, power, renewables, industrial decarbonization, chemicals, manufacturing, mining, or major infrastructure projects.

• Preferred: experience supporting owner’s EPC/EPCM models across multiple concurrent projects.

• Preferred: international or remote project experience.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
