
Senior HSEQQ Manager – EPC/EPCM Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Lead a comprehensive HSEQ strategy across EPC/EPCM projects.
• Act as the main HSEQ advisor to Project Directors and the leadership teams of EPC/EPCM.
• Promote the integration of Ramboll’s HSEQ program and convert expectations into project-specific controls and leadership routines.
• Offer HSEQ advice during proposal development and contract discussions.
• Develop scalable HSEQ organizational structures for delivering multiple projects nationwide.
• Create standardized HSEQ execution plans encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Set expectations for construction readiness that include contractor mobilization, competency assurance, risk assessments, and field controls.
• Ensure alignment of HSEQ standards and performance requirements among contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and third parties.
• Lead the onboarding of contractors, alignment sessions, audits, and performance evaluations.
• Integrate HSEQ requirements into contracting strategies, procurement packages, bid documents, mobilization plans, and contractor management processes.
• Provide governance and assurance over risk management, hazard identification, construction risk assessments, high-risk work evaluations, and site controls.
• Assess controls related to lifting, electrical work, confined space entry, work at heights, ground disturbance, energization, commissioning, and simultaneous operations.
• Offer oversight and escalation support for incidents with high potential or severity.
• Conduct site visits, leadership engagements, and assurance evaluations.
• Mentor project and contractor leadership teams while advocating for proactive safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, client, and Ramboll standards.
• Represent Ramboll during client audits, regulatory inspections, and governance meetings.
• Establish HSEQ performance reporting utilizing both leading and lagging indicators.
• Convert performance data into actionable insights, actions, and recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive on-site HSEQ leadership experience.
• Significant exposure to large-scale EPC/EPCM projects.
• Experience in multi-contractor, high-risk industrial construction settings.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Familiarity with contractor-managed construction delivery models and client/contractor interface management.
• Working knowledge of HSEQ controls during construction phases, contractor management, incident investigation, assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Preferred: Professional certifications such as CSP, CMIOSH, NEBOSH, CRSP, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Experience in energy transition, power, renewables, industrial decarbonization, chemicals, manufacturing, mining, or significant infrastructure projects.
• Preferred: Experience supporting owner’s EPC/EPCM models across multiple concurrent projects.
