Senior HR Generalist, Talent & Employee Experience

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete recruitment process to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates who align with our mission and ensure timely and effective hiring.

• Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions, recruitment strategies, and fair selection procedures.

• Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection phases.

• Manage the candidate experience from the recruitment stage through to the offer and onboarding transition.

• Implement consistent onboarding and offboarding practices that reflect our values.

• Facilitate employee transitions in and out of the organization.

• Oversee employee lifecycle processes and maintain data related to hires, promotions, transfers, status changes, and departures.

• Analyze trends and suggest enhancements to the employee experience, engagement, recognition, retention, and organizational processes.

• Manage the performance management cycle, which includes goal-setting, feedback, and assessments.

• Offer guidance, resources, and training on effective performance management practices.

• Monitor the implementation and participation in performance management and suggest areas for improvement.

• Oversee the organization’s fellowship program, including outreach, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and execution.

• Create an inclusive fellowship experience that includes learning, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

• Collaborate with fellows, managers, and stakeholders to assess and enhance the fellowship experience.

• Identify organization-wide learning and development needs and create initiatives to address them.

• Facilitate or coordinate learning opportunities along with manager and supervisor development programs.

• Assess participation, feedback, and effectiveness of learning programs.

• Manage designated HR systems and operational processes.

• Ensure the integrity of employee information and HRIS data while supporting the administration and improvement of BambooHR and related tools.

• Optimize HR processes, strengthen documentation, and enhance resources for employees and managers.

• Contribute to the development of HR policies, programs, systems, and collaborative People & Culture initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, encompassing talent acquisition, employee lifecycle programs, performance management, learning and development, HR operations, or related HR functions.

• Proven experience in managing HR programs or processes from the planning stage through implementation, including assessing opportunities for enhancement.

• Experience in advising and supporting managers and employees regarding the application of established HR policies, programs, and practices.

• Strong judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to handle sensitive information and situations appropriately, recognizing when issues require escalation.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities, and deliver accurate, timely work as organizational needs change.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across different roles, teams, and perspectives.

• Experience with HR information systems, ensuring the maintenance of accurate and confidential employee data and records.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with modern HR technology, including BambooHR or a similar HRIS platform.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• SHRM-CP, PHR, or a comparable human resources certification is preferred.

• Experience in supporting learning and development, fellowship, internship, or other structured employee development programs is preferred.

• Background in a nonprofit, advocacy, mission-driven, or similarly complex organization is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are preferred.
