Human Resources Generalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR.

• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding processes, which includes managing documentation, updating systems, facilitating new-hire training, tracking compliance, and coordinating with IT/Payroll.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and documentation in BambooHR.

• Help with employee communications, distribution of policies, and regular HR updates.

• Provide support to managers during coaching and performance improvement discussions, elevating higher-risk issues as necessary.

• Accurately and confidentially document employee relations issues.

• Oversee payroll status updates, deductions, and timekeeping records.

• Assist with benefits administration and address employee benefit inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with multi-state and federal regulations, including I-9 processing, necessary postings, background checks, and state-specific documentation.

• Maintain the integrity of HRIS data and produce HR reports.

• Identify gaps in processes and suggest improvements for greater efficiency.

• Collaborate with hiring managers regarding open positions.

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for non-executive roles as required.

• Write and publish job descriptions, coordinate or conduct interviews, and oversee pre-employment processes.

• Engage in workforce planning discussions.

• Work together with the EVP of Operations & Organizational Development and cross-functional stakeholders across both business divisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of comprehensive HR experience across various functions.

• Strong knowledge of onboarding, offboarding, benefits support, employee documentation, and compliance.

• Experience in handling employee relations issues, with good judgment on when to escalate matters.

• Proficient in BambooHR and Microsoft applications.

• Familiarity with payroll coordination and processes related to benefits administration.

• Experience working with multi-state employee populations.

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.

• Possess collaborative skills, organizational abilities, confidentiality, and effective time-management capabilities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of relevant HR experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
