This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily Human Resources Operations and ensure effective service delivery.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to Senior HR Generalists and HR Generalists.
• Set operational priorities, service expectations, escalation procedures, and accountability within HR Operations.
• Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Enhance service delivery, strengthen controls, streamline processes, and minimize unnecessary administrative tasks.
• Track operational metrics, trends, service demands, and recurring issues for ongoing improvement.
• Lead support throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employment changes, performance management, development, employee relations, and separation.
• Act as the main operational escalation point for intricate employee relations issues.
• Manage investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolutions, performance assessments, and separations.
• Collaborate with institutional HR leaders to identify shared solutions, consistency opportunities, and system-wide HR standards.
• Provide HR leadership for reorganizations, restructures, position adjustments, workforce transitions, and other organizational initiatives.
• Oversee operational administration of compensation programs, including job evaluations, market pricing, salary recommendations, promotional increases, and compensation analysis.
• Collaborate with Benefits leadership on matters related to benefits, retirement, leave, accommodations, and employee relations.
• Align operational trends and organizational needs with workforce development, engagement, leadership development, and talent initiatives.
• Work with HR Systems & Technology on automation, reporting, workflow enhancements, system improvements, and employee self-service.
• Utilize HR data and people analytics to identify trends and guide operational recommendations.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, service excellence, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility across Human Resources.
• Independently address routine and complex HR operational issues and escalate significant risks or major enterprise decisions to the Vice President of Human Resources.
• Report to the Vice President of Human Resources while leading a team consisting of two Senior HR Generalists and one HR Generalist.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is required.
• At least 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources.
• Minimum of 3–5 years in HR leadership or management roles.
• Substantial experience in employee relations, HR operations, and consultative Human Resources support is essential.
• Proven experience supporting the complete employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and separation.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing HR professionals and collaborating within decentralized or matrixed environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Human Resources operations, employee relations, employment practices, and HR compliance.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full employee lifecycle and consultative HR practices.
• Familiarity with compensation, talent acquisition, performance management, workforce planning, benefits, and leave policies.
• Strong grasp of organizational change and workforce transition processes.
• Proven ability to evaluate complex employee and organizational issues and exercise sound judgment.
• Capability to collaborate and influence across decentralized or matrixed organizations without relying on direct authority.
• Excellent communication, consultation, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong project management, prioritization, and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience with Workday and other HR technology for data-driven decision-making.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to effectively execute responsibilities in a remote work setting and maintain availability during designated business hours.
• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in supporting organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and complex employment issues is strongly preferred.
• Experience working within a multi-location, multi-state, higher education, system-based, or similarly complex organization is preferred.
