Benefits Specialist – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Provide administrative support for various employee benefit programs, encompassing health, welfare, retirement, leave of absence, and worker’s compensation processes.

• Assist in the daily administration of health, welfare, retirement, and wellness initiatives.

• Help manage benefit vendor billing, enrollment processing, payroll benefit deduction review, and updates to employee benefit data.

• Process employee lifecycle events such as new hires, benefit modifications, leaves of absence, and terminations.

• Support compliance activities related to benefits, including necessary reporting and filings.

• Ensure accurate benefit information is maintained within HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems.

• Address routine employee inquiries regarding benefits and escalate more complex questions as needed.

• Assist in drafting, revising, and distributing communications related to employee benefits.

• Support the administration of leave of absence and worker’s compensation processes.

• Serve as a backup for retirement plan funding and loan adjustment procedures.

• Prepare regular reports and provide data support for benefit-related activities.

• Assist with research, analysis, and documentation concerning employee benefits programs and processes.

• Document work processes to encourage consistency, cross-training, and process enhancements.


⛳️ Requirements

• A B.A. or B.S. degree in business or human resources is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, or payroll.

• Familiarity with HRIS or benefits administration platforms.

• Experience in supporting benefit processes, enrollment activities, payroll deductions, employee data changes, or leave administration.

• Foundational knowledge of U.S. employee benefits is required.

• General understanding of benefit and leave-related regulations, such as ERISA and FMLA.

• Experience with UKG and/or PlanSource is preferred.

• Familiarity with Canadian employee benefits is a plus.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
